Fire Door Remedial Works
- Excessive Gaps: Adjusting the door so that the gap between the door and its frame does not exceed the industry standard of 4mm (except at the bottom, which should be as small as practicable).
- Damaged Seals: Replacing or repairing intumescent strips (which expand in heat to seal gaps) and smoke seals that are damaged, missing, or have been painted over.
- Hardware and Mechanism Faults: Fixing or replacing broken hinges, loose or missing screws, faulty latches, and malfunctioning self-closing devices to ensure the door can fully close into its frame from any angle.
- Structural Damage: Repairing splits in timber, warping that affects the door’s fit, holes left by removed locks, or damage to the door frame and securing wall.
